Great mom and pop restaurant CASH only and has an ATM onsite if needed. Great food, friendly people, and awesome service. Definitely the place to go when visiting Franklin. We got our food in less than five minutes of ordering breakfast. We left stuffed!

Heard great things about this restaurant. Didn’t get there in time for breakfast and wish we had. One of us had a bacon and egg sandwich and said it was excellent. I had a hot dog and wish I’d ordered something else. It was the little 10/pack size, and the chili was barely seasoned. On the other hand, the potato salad that came with it was really good. Pecan and lemon meringue pies were fantastic. Service was friendly and efficient.

This place is a place you want to keep going back to. Wonderful service. Wonderful food. The waitresses are the best around.

I wanted to like this place and was looking forward to trying it. My husband and I went for breakfast and we didn’t enjoy our food. My pancakes were thin as a sheet of paper and his biscuits were undercooked and doughy. The worst part, however, was how unfriendly our waitress was. She either hated her job or just hated us. Not sure, but she was very unpleasant. We couldn’t wait to just get the heck out of there. Won’t be spending anymore of my hard earned money here.

Down home cooking friendly people!

This is the place to go for home cooking. It is clean and cheery. I had the grilled pimiento sandwich and my husband and had a pile of biscuits and gravy. The prices are really reasonable and the pie is piled high with merengue.

Loved it for breakfast, but lunch and dinner I would not recommend. Very at home atmosphere. Wonderful wait staff. Restaurant is a cash only deal, but has an atm.

Home style food. Also curb service. Cash or Checks only. Always good, reasonably priced

Sunset is like going to Momma's for lunch. Their food is so delicious. Their pricing is very reasonable and their portion sizes are plentiful. Love this Christian restaurant. Employees are so nice and very helpful.

Fast friendly service, clean and the food was great. I had two scrambled eggs with biscuits and gravy and a side of sausage. My daughter had the French toast with bacon. We couldn't finish it all. Had to get a doggy bag. You definitely get your monies worth, not that their expensive in the first place. The only negative thing I can say about Sunset is that they don't except cards.

I placed a to go order and waited outside twenty minutes and never got my order or a call. I was also not told when the order would be ready. This place does not have there take out game on at all. Would give zero stars if I could cause I’m so damn hungry. I swear Carole baskin must work here

Great home cooked country meals. For women city folk the menu may be a challenge.

I have been there a few times while riding my motorcycle. It is a great place to stop and eat lunch. The staff is very friendly and the hospitality is great. It seems like the portions are getting smaller but the price is the same. The food is great. It won't keep me from going back.

I dined here back in March with my mom and my daughter and we bought the bisquit and gravy they were slightly cold and tasted like it was in a microwave and served to me. So many people have come here and gotten better food. I don't know what happened but it's okay the waitress made it right and I can't ask for better service. So many people have told me their cheap and food is amazing. I'm just the one that caught the place at a bad time I guess. I'll go back when I can afford it and rate them again. Here's hoping for best! 5 stars anyways because the waitress was so nice and didn't have to make it right but she did. So thank you for your kind service! :)

74 year old family restaurant 60's vintage look and feel, and it is fast, friendly, with great comfort food and delicious homemade pies! Open Mon - Sat for all 3 meals.

Was very disappointed to see not all thewmployees wear masks. When we are eating we can not wear a mask, but the employees COUL do so.

It was first time there, went to NC with some friends. They had a good menu but I was hungry for a cheeseburger and fries so that's what I had and it was really good...

Great eats! Sunset has my favorite breakfast in town. Their biscuits are the best and they have waffles too! Sunset also has delicious burgers! Their pies are AMAZING! Their chocolate pie is my favorite with its four inch thick meringue!!! When I want comfortable and consistent dining, I pick Sunset. They only take cash, but there is an ATM.

This place has been around since 1945. The crispy fried chicken and mashed potatoes were the best, in my opinion. Some sides were under- or over-cooked, we were incorrectly over-charged a few dollars on our receipt, and the waitress was a little forgetful, but they were very friendly, and the food I liked was excellent. There are great pies too. Only cash and check payments are accepted, but there is an ATM machine inside that costs a little over $2.00.

Crispy fries, everything fresh, been around for 75 years. Has a definite presence in the elderly community.

Any time my family and friends go to the North GA Mountains, eating at the Sunset Restaurant is a must!! Have been eating there for at least ten years every October and we’ve always received excellent, top quality service and food. Their desserts are delicious too so save room for that!!

I understand this place is a gem for locals who have eaten here for decades. For tourists: go to Kountry Kitchen instead for quality food and bigger portions for the price. I travel a lot and always try new small town diners so I don’t regret trying this place out. Nice customer service and friendly people! Just didn’t love the food.

I have loved this place for a long time, food is great especially turkey and dressing and veggies. My ultimate favorite is their pie it’s hand made and delicious the biggest merang on any pie ever my fave is coconut cream. Do yourself a favor and go today!
